When adding a new booking on Kynd, it’s important you select the correct ‘Primary Support’ type.

It determines the support item numbers and descriptions that will appear on your invoices issued by Kynd.

If you do not have NDIS funding in any of the below support categories, or if the support category you wish to use is not Self Managed or Plan Managed, please contact the Kynd Team before adding or accepting bookings.

Here is a guide to help you choose the right Support Type to match your NDIS funding.

Capacity Building (CB)

If your NDIS funding is Plan Managed, when selecting the ‘Capacity Building’ Support Type you will need to contact the Kynd Team to advise which support category and support item you wish to display on your invoices. Kynd currently needs to set this up manually.

IMPORTANT: Capacity Building support does not fund higher rates for evenings, nights, weekends, or public holidays. If you schedule services on these days or times, your support worker must agree to provide your service at rates no higher than the maximum applicable weekday rate, as per the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits.

Support Items and Charge Rates

On Kynd, Independent Support Workers cannot charge rates that exceed the Standard capped limits set by the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits for the relevant support item. Built-in booking safeguards prevent overcharging.

If a Member has High Intensity funding and has authorised an Independent Support Worker to charge above the Standard rate, it's important to note that these increased rates apply only to Core Support categories. High Intensity pricing does not apply to Capacity Building supports, which remain capped at the one Standard rate regardless of support complexity or delivery schedule.
